This directory takes no lead fees or placement payments from any program. Where a program runs an affiliate scheme we say so on its page and mark the link. Facts carry a badge: verified means we read it on a primary source on the date shown, reported means a third party said it, unknown means nobody we trust has published it.

Status ledger

• paused Airbnb Connect: On 2026-10-08 the page says applications are currently closed, lists 'Application Window: April' and an approximately 5-month program, and shows alumni stories from the 2020 and 2021 cohorts; no 2027 window is posted.
• pivoted App Academy: Checked 2026-10-08: appacademy.io is live, but the original full-time immersive is gone. The tuition page's meta description reads 'App Academy, powered by Coding Temple', the FAQ says 'App Academy has partnered with Coding Temple to deliver select programs using Coding Temple's award-winning curriculum', and the catalog now mirrors Coding Temple's (AI Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Quality Assurance; 'Live Private Cohort' 5 months part-time evenings or 'Blended Learning' self-paced up to 6 months, start 'Anytime'). Wayback snapshots show the old $23,150/$15,900 tuition page with no Coding Temple mention on June 13, 2025, a Coding Temple Typeform on the homepage by August 2, 2025, and the 'powered by Coding Temple' tuition page by October 28, 2025. Course Report marks the school closed; its course-dates page still lists 2024-2025 cohorts.
• closed BloomTech Data Science (formerly Lambda School): California's BPPE Office of Student Assistance and Relief records that BloomTech closed on December 31, 2025 with that date as the last day of instruction; on 2026-10-08 the site is still up but the Data Science and Backend pages read 'Enrollment Paused', Full Stack shows 'Join Waitlist', and the footer copyright still says 2023.
• paused Capital One Developer Academy (CODA): On 2026-10-08 the CODA program URLs (/coda, /coda-program, /students-and-grads/developer-academy) return 404 or redirect to the careers home page, and CODA is absent from Capital One's full-time programs list; the only CODA content is a blog post last archived on 2025-07-10. No closure notice was found.
• closed CareerFoundry Data Analytics Program: CareerFoundry went into insolvency and ceased operations effective February 28, 2026; its site carries a 'CareerFoundry is ceasing operations' banner and offers no courses.
• pivoted Chegg Skills (formerly Thinkful): Thinkful's consumer bootcamps, including Data Analytics, stopped taking direct applicants in 2024: an April 2024 archived homepage still sold them, by June 2024 thinkful.com redirected to Chegg Skills' employer-facing site, and Course Report says applicants now go through Guild.
• closed Code Fellows (Ops cybersecurity track): Homepage on 2026-10-08 states 'Code Fellows has ceased operations' after 11 years; Course Report marks the school closed. Neither page gives the closure date; the 11-year span from a 2013 founding places it in 2024.
• paused Codesmith: Checked 2026-10-08: the Software Engineering + AI/ML Immersive page says 'Applications remain open' but publishes no cohort date, stating future Immersive cohorts 'will coincide with' enterprise and government client programs and that 'We anticipate a fall cohort once client timelines are confirmed.' No fall 2026 date was posted as of the check. The homepage leads with a '$118 million IRS OCIO workforce development agreement' and free NYC-resident programs (Future Code NYC starts November 30, 2026; Foundational Launchpad applications due November 6, 2026).
• pivoted Codesmith (prep offerings only): On 2026-10-08 codesmith.io listed no standalone technical-interview-prep course; the former paid CS Prep page (codesmith.io/cs-prep) returned 404 and the individuals page offered only the free Foundational Launchpad (application deadline 2026-11-06), free Future Code NYC, free CSX, the $22,500 immersive, and a $4,595 AI & ML Technical Leadership course.
• closed Coding Dojo Cybersecurity Bootcamp: codingdojo.com/cybersecurity-bootcamp returned HTTP 404 on 2026-10-08 and the homepage lists only Software Development; students now log in through codingdojo.coloradotech.edu (Colorado Technical University).
• pivoted Flatiron School (Data Science bootcamp, now AI & Data Science certificate): Flatiron no longer sells a standalone Data Science bootcamp (the course URL returns 404 on 2026-10-08); data content now sits in a part-time 'AI & Data Science' certificate at $14,900 and in work-integrated AI Engineering apprenticeship programs.
• pivoted General Assembly: Regulatory page, read 2026-10-08: 'General Assembly ceased new consumer enrollments on April 28, 2026 and is concluding its consumer course operations for currently enrolled students through an orderly teach-out process.' The company continues as an enterprise training provider inside the Adecco Group (LHH). Course Report: 'General Assembly ceased enrolling consumers on April 28, 2026. It continues to provide training for businesses.'
• pivoted Hello Interview: Hello Interview wound down its paid 1:1 mock interview and mentorship programs on May 31, 2026 and now sells only self-serve Premium content with AI-guided practice.
• closed JPMorgan Tech Connect: The program page returned 404 on 2026-10-08 on both the new jpmorganchase.com path and the old careers.jpmorgan.com path; the Wayback Machine last captured it live on 2026-04-15. JPMorgan has not published a closure notice that we found.
• paused LinkedIn REACH Apprenticeship: On 2026-10-08 the page reads 'No longer accepting applications for the April 2026 cohort. Please check back in mid 2026 for hiring information for the next cohort'; no new window had been posted.
• paused Microsoft Leap: On 2026-10-08 all five Leap pathways (Cloud, Data, Design, Engineering, Product/Program Management) display 'Not currently accepting applications'; the FAQ says application dates are announced only on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.
• paused Morgan Stanley Technology Analyst Program: On 2026-10-08 the Morgan Stanley students and graduates opportunity search filtered to Technology shows 'There are currently no opportunities open'; the old program pages under /people-opportunities/students-graduates/programs/technology/ now redirect to that search.
• paused Outco: On 2026-10-08 outco.io served only a one-page marketing site (testimonials dated 2016-2019, salary figures "as of 2021", copyright 2024, sitemap last modified 2025-01-29) with no application, pricing, FAQ or cohort page (all return 404) and a contact page listing only [email protected].
• closed Pathrise: Springshare announced on 2025-10-21 that it acquired Pathrise's assets and that the mentorship program was winding down to cease by the end of 2025; Springshare's FAQ says Pathrise "will be discontinuing its direct-to-consumer services at the end of 2025", and on 2026-10-08 www.pathrise.com returned a Cloudflare Error 1014 page instead of a website.
• paused Resilient Coders: On 2026-10-08 the apply page says 'Applications for our next fellowship cohort are not open yet' with an interest form referencing a Fall 2026 program, while the homepage still advertises a cohort starting 'August 11th' from 2025.

How to choose

Start with status, not rankings: a school with no dated cohort on its site is not enrolling, whatever its reviews say. Then ask for placement data by name. CIRR reports and dated jobs reports count; 'average alumni earnings among survey respondents' does not. Compare total cost including interest, and read the job guarantee terms for the strike rules that void it. Check the public syllabus for hours spent on data structures, system design and mock interviews, because those are what the hiring loop tests and most bootcamps teach them lightly. Free curricula (The Odin Project, freeCodeCamp) cover the same stack; you are paying for schedule, feedback and coaching, so price those three. The common mistake is choosing on tuition discounts and review stars, both of which the school controls.
