Turing School of Software & Design

status: closed · checked 2026-10-08

Homepage, read 2026-10-08: 'As of April 15, 2025 Turing has paused new enrollments' and describes the end of 'Act I'. BusinessDen (2025-04-17): founder Jeff Casimir announced the school would close and wind down through June 2025, citing two years of struggle and a roughly $500,000 judgment for back rent; BusinessDen (2025-06-25): Chapter 7 bankruptcy with about $1.3 million owed to 23 creditors and assets under $50,000. Course Report marks the school closed. source

Turing School, a Denver nonprofit that reported to CIRR and ran seven-month remote cohorts, stopped enrolling on April 15, 2025 and filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy in June 2025. Its site still speaks of an 'Act II', but there is no program to buy. If you are a graduate, get your records now; if you see Turing in a 2026 ranking, the ranking is stale.

Facts carry a badge: verified means we read it on a primary source on the date shown, reported means a third party said it, unknown means nobody we trust has published it.
