Where do tech companies actually say their engineers sit? We scanned every company interview guide on techinterview.org for mentions of eighteen major tech-hub metros (plus remote/distributed work) and tallied them. The result isn’t a map of headquarters — it’s a picture of how each company’s guide talks about where its people work, drawn straight from the guide text itself.
The leaderboard below ranks every metro by company count, lets you filter by company segment, and lets you drill into exactly which companies sit behind each bar. Each company counts once, under whichever metro its guide mentions most.
