They suit career changers who need structure, a cohort and a coach, and who can afford to treat the tuition as a convenience fee rather than a placement purchase.

The tuition page's meta description reads 'App Academy, powered by Coding Temple', the FAQ says 'App Academy has partnered with Coding Temple to deliver select programs using Coding Temple's award-winning curriculum', and the catalog now mirrors Coding Temple's (AI Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Quality Assurance; 'Live Private Cohort' 5 months part-time evenings or 'Blended Learning' self-paced up to 6 months, start 'Anytime'). Wayback snapshots show the old $23,150/$15,900 tuition page with no Coding Temple mention on June 13, 2025, a Coding Temple Typeform on the homepage by August 2, 2025, and the 'powered by Coding Temple' tuition page by October 28, 2025. Course Report marks the school closed; its course-dates page still lists 2024-2025 cohorts.

- closed [ThriveDX / HackerUSA / IronCircle (university-branded bootcamps)](https://www.techinterview.org/bootcamp_directory/p/thrivedx-ironcircle/): ironcircle.com on 2026-10-08 carries a notice that HackerUSA Inc., the former operator of IronCircle (previously ThriveDX), executed a General Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors effective June 2, 2026, with assets assigned to HUI Liquidation Services LLC; QuickStart Learning says it is unaffiliated and will review stranded students for placement into its own courses.

## How to choose
Start from the exam the program ends at. If it is Security+, the comparison price is the voucher plus free study material, and the bootcamp has to justify the gap with named coaching hours and a cohort you can talk to. Ask for cyber-specific placement numbers with a cohort size and a date range; a company-wide figure that mixes coding tracks tells you nothing. Read refund and job-guarantee terms before the sales call, because daily application quotas and relocation clauses decide whether the guarantee exists for you. Prefer live instruction over recorded video if you are paying five figures, and check that a listed cohort has actually started on schedule. The common mistake is paying $15,000 for a cert you could have sat for $400, then discovering the job board was the whole career service.

claims that do not hold upPlacement percentages without a denominator. Springboard's 94% and Nucamp's 78% cover every program they run; Evolve's 80% and SANS's 75% have no cohort size or dates. 'Positive career outcome' in the Google certificate counts a raise at your current job. 'Zero net cost' at Flatiron assumes you get and keep a paid apprenticeship. University branding meant nothing once ThriveDX ran out of money: NC State students were left with debt and the operator assigned its assets to a liquidator in June 2026.
